Conversion of Oil & Gas (or failed Geothermal) wells to geothermal producers​

There are in excess of 20 million Oil & Gas wells globally. Primeval Energy estimates in excess of 10 percent of these are suitable for conversion to geothermal energy production. Converted wells can provide renewable heat, power and energy storage.

We specialise in assessing the viability and converting Oil & Gas assets to renewable energy production. ​

The team offers a tailored engineered solution considering all complexities of each site.​​

Not all wells are suitable donors, for these we are able to design cost effective abandonment programmes.

Our mission is to install 1,000 MW of renewable heat and power capacity at existing oil and gas sites.​​
